LETTERS TO THE EDITOR — CIM journal

In his letter to the editor (T.N.M., July 20/92), W.G. Wahl suggests that the journal Exploration and Mining Geology, launched by the Geological Society of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM), may have little direct relevance to industry geologists.

Our new journal is now nearing completion of its first year of publication. The first three issues carry pertinent articles, including papers on deposits in the Bathurst base metal camp in New Brunswick. The final issue for 1992 will feature articles on diamond exploration and discovery both in Canada and elsewhere. At this time, it would be hard to find a subject more fitting for Canadian explorationists.

Contributions by company geologists, which will be reviewed by their peers, are encouraged.
