Potash papers are subpoenaed in antitrust case

Documents relating to the North American activities of Toronto-listed Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan (PCS) and its subsidiary, Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan Sales, have been subpoenaed by the antitrust division of the U.S. Department of Justice.

The two companies, along with other Canadian and U.S. potash producers, are defendants in several civil lawsuits. The actions allege a conspiracy among them to fix the price of potash bought by the plaintiffs.

PCS says the allegations are without merit.
