Westmin explores copper-gold bets

An extensive exploration program will be carried out this season by Westmin Resources (TSE) on two large porphyry gold-copper projects north of Prince George, B.C. The two properties are 40 km west of the Mt. Milligan gold-copper project being developed by Placer Dome. Byron Resources (VSE) is funding $1.2 million in exploration to earn a 45% interest in the Westmin properties.

The 1991 program will include induced polarization surveys, trenching and diamond drilling.

Byron Chairman Robert Hunter was recently presented with a developers award by the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) for his role in the Mt. Milligan project. Mike Muzylowski, recently appointed president of Byron, won the PDAC’s developers award in 1988.
