NEWS ROUNDUP — FMC investing in lithium play

A lithium carbonate project in Argentina will benefit from an investment worth US$45-$100 million.

FMC Lithium, formerly Lithco, recently announced its investment decision after signing a revised contract with the Argentine government covering the Salar de Hombre Muerto project in Catamarca province.

The company bid successfully eight years ago for a 40-year concession to develop the project.
