Results encourage Cambior, Aurizon

Exploration drilling continues at the Sleeping Giant gold property of Aurizon Mines (TSE), north of Amos, Que., with six machines underground and one rig on surface, program operator Cambior Mines (TSE) reported.

Underground holes have been drilled in a northwesterly direction from the 770-ft. and 1,360-ft. levels. Hole GD 91-30 cut a number of encouraging intersections, including 7 ft. of 0.43 oz. gold per ton (uncut and cut) and 6 ft. of 0.6 oz. (uncut) and 0.52 oz. cut. A 5-ft. intersection from hole GD 91-032 cut 5 ft. of 0.35 oz. (uncut and cut), the companies reported.
