A major exploration program will be carried out this season on the GNC claims which surround the Eskay Creek project north of Stewart, B.C.
The program will be operated by Corona (TSE) on behalf of Prime Resources Group (VSE) and Stikine Resources which hold a 33.3% interest each in the property. The remaining interest is held by Canarc Resource (VSE).
The $650,000 work program proposed for the GNC claims this year will include a minimum of 6,500 ft. of drilling. Exploration will initially test the Porphyry zone where large widths of polymetallic, semi-massive sulphide mineralization were intersected in six drill holes last year. This target is less than a mile from the 21 B zone at Eskay Creek.
Numerous soil geochemical and IP anomalies on the claims will be refined by more field work in order to prioritize them for diamond drill testing. The program is expected to begin in mid-July.
