Toronto-based High River Gold Mines (TSE) is turning some of its attention to Africa.
The junior, which is developing a gold project in Manitoba, has signed a letter of intent with an unnamed private Canadian company to explore jointly a gold property in West Africa. The agreement is expected to be concluded by Sept. 30.
High River says the 1,200-sq.-km property has open-pit and underground exploration potential.
Meanwhile, grade appears to be increasing at depth at the company’s Snow Lake deposit in northern Manitoba where a 5-hole deep-drilling program is in progress.
High River’s major shareholder is TVX Gold (TSE).
