LAST BUT NOT LEAST — Wye settles property dispute

A 4-year dispute over ownership of the Saganaga gold property, 87 miles west of Thunder Bay, Ont., has been settled.

Originally, Wye Resources (CDN) held a 60% interest in the 42-claim property, with Curran Bay Resource (ASE) holding the balance. Now, with the addition of 10 more claims by privately owned Wing Resources, ownership is 52.5% Wye, 30% Curran Bay and 17.5% Wing. (Wye also owns 132 claims which are contiguous to Saganaga.)

In 1988, a hole drilled on the Powell zone returned a 19.3-ft. intersection grading 0.96 oz. gold per ton. The partners are seeking a major company to continue exploration.

In other news, Curran Bay has amalgamated with Primrose Gold Resources (CDN) on a share-for-share basis. The company will continue to be known as Curran Bay.
