The mineral exploration arm of the Quebec government, Societe quebecoise d’exploration miniere (SOQUEM), has a new chief. Yves Harvey, 41, was recently nominated by the Quebec cabinet as president and managing director.
Harvey, who has a Ph.D. in economic geology from Laval University, served as interim president of SOQUEM for several months following the death of former president Andre Laurin.
