A 75-hole, 6,000-metre program of definition drilling has been completed at Geomaque Explorations’ (TSE) San Francisco gold project in Mexico’s Sonora state.
The program was designed to provide additional data for the final pit design in the main and north pit areas. It also included condemnation drilling in the planned leach pad site area.
The drill results continue to show that the gold ore zones have excellent continuity. Significant intersections in the Main Pit area include: 16 metres of 3.2 grams gold per tonne in Hole 511, 20 metres grading 3.2 grams in Hole 533, 14 metres of 4.2 grams in Hole 559 and 22 metres grading 2.6 grams in Hole 507.
Some of the best results from the north pit were 19 metres grading 1.5 grams in Hole 551, and 12 metres of 4.1 grams in Hole 554.
Based on the results, Geomaque expects that the minable reserves will be increased when the new pit design is completed in early November. Based on the 1993 feasibility study, the San Francisco deposit contains measured and indicated minable reserves of 4.4 million tonnes with an average grade of 1.41 grams.
