McLeese Lake back on track

The McLeese Lake open-pit copper mine in central British Columbia has resumed production.

Owner Gibraltar Mines (TSE) closed the operation about 10 months ago in response to low copper prices.

Over the past three months, the company has been installing a 4.5-km tailings line and upgrading the grinding circuit cyclones.

All eligible employees have been recalled.
