Centurion reports reserves of 600 million tons at S. Tintic

Salt Lake City-based Centurion Mines (NASDAQ) reports a drill-inferred geologic reserve of 600 million tons grading 0.28% copper (3.4 billion lb.) for its South Tintic project near Eureka, Utah.

Independent consultants arrived at the evaluation based on six widely spaced reverse-circulation drill holes and a cutoff of 0.20%. The porphyry, copper-mineralized zone, known as the SWT, measures 8,000 ft. long by 4,000 ft. wide. Hole STD-6, drilled to a depth of 2,959 ft., averaged 0.23% copper over 1,854 ft. More drilling is planned in the near future. On a separate portion of the property, a reverse-circulation program is intersecting disseminated, enargite-type, copper-silver mineralization. The zone is in the Treasure Hill area, several miles north of the SWT. An additional 10,000 ft. are being drilled.

Significant results to date are as follows:

Hole Interval Width Copper Silver

(ft.) (ft.) (%) (oz./ton)

STR-3 1,350-1,400 50 0.66 1.07

STR-8 855-905 50 0.20 1.33

1,055-1,105 50 0.30 1.88

STR-19 540-600 60 0.80 0.46

620-680 60 0.26 tr.

STR-23 100-220 120 0.22 tr.
