Freewest to drill Verneuil gold play

Another phase of diamond drilling is set to begin on Golden Tag Resources’ (VSE) 44-claim Verneuil Twp. gold prospect in northwestern Quebec.

The property, owned 60% by Golden Tag and 40% by Gold Hawk Resources (ASE), hosts the Toussaint zone, which contains an indicated geological reserve of 207,000 tons averaging 0.21 oz. gold per ton.

The minimum 3-hole program will be undertaken by Freewest Resources (TSE), which is earning a half interest.

Elsewhere in Verneuil Twp., Golden Tag plans to drill a 6-claim property which it owns. These claims were staked to cover an aeromagnetic anomaly thought to represent a kimberlite. Ground geophysical surveys have confirmed the presence of a low-intensity magnetic anomaly.
