Unlisted Trading (September 30, 1991)

The possibility that Black Gregor Explorations may succeed in enlisting major companies as joint venture partners for its two gold properties has excited investors. In a low-high range of 10-28 cents, 293,000 shares of the company changed hands during the week ended Sept. 24.

Black Gregor owns a majority interest in a 6,500-acre property in the Swayze gold area near Timmins, Ont., and a 9,500-acre property in the Hemlo gold area near Marathon, Ont.

News about Wye Resources’ relocation of a test mill at its Saganaga Lake property, 120 miles west of Thunder Bay, Ont., triggered moderate trading. A surface sample from a new showing on the property produced assays up to 2.88 oz. gold per ton. Bulk samples will be tested at this mill to determine gold recoveries prior to small-scale mining and milling. Trading 30,000 shares, Wye was in a low-high range of 4-8 cents.

Subject to specific approvals and conditions, Environmental Technologies Investments (ETI) will merge with TSE-listed Camreco to become Environmental Technologies International, which will trade on the TSE. ETI traded 47,700 shares in a low-high range of 60-95 cents for the week.
