Funding sought for ROM gallery

The Earth Sciences Gallery project of the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) is progressing towards its $4.25-million target.

By presstime, $1.7 million had been contributed by foundations, individuals and corporations.

The project will feature ROM’s extensive mineralogy and geology collections, making it the museum’s largest single gallery.

The fund-raising campaign, to which the Ontario government will make a significant contribution, is scheduled for completion by spring, 1996. Construction of the gallery is scheduled for completion in the spring of 1999.
