Underground drilling of the AK zone on the Inel project in the Iskut River area of northwestern British Columbia is returning mixed results for partners Avondale Resources (VSE) and Gulf International Minerals (VSE). Avondale is earning a 50% interest in the property from Gulf in return for $10 million in expenditures over a 4-year period. The companies are testing the strike extent of the AK zone by underground drilling from a drift running parallel to the zone’s strike.
The AK zone is described as a gold enriched intrusive breccia which also contains some silver and zinc.
Avondale expects the program to be completed by the first week of November. Significant results from recent drilling include; Intercept Width Gold Hole (ft.) (ft.)
