The Newfoundland Department of Mines and Energy will host its 1990 open house at St. John’s, Nfld., Nov. 1. It will include a morning session on the department’s various activities and on mineral exploration as well as development in the province and Labrador. The afternoon poster sessions will display the results of current surveys and research. The open house will be held in conjunction with The Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum’s seventh District One meeting, Nov. 1-3.
