Drilling is continuing at the Okak property in Labrador.
United Compass Resources (VSE) and Castle Rock Explorations (VSE), which are each earning a 35% interest in the property, report that the first drill hole on a surface showing, coincident with a geophysical anomaly, intersected multiple stringers of pyrrhotite and chalcopyrite throughout the entire length of the hole.
The stringer mineralization is similar to the mineralization observed on surface, but the companies do not believe this explains the strength or cause of the electromagnetic anomaly.
A down-hole survey is now under way in an effort to pinpoint the location of the main conductor target.
A second drill hole, 50 metres northwest of the first hole, is in progress.
