I agree with the points you make in the editorial “Mount Logan forever” (T.N.M., Oct. 16-22) regarding the re-naming of Mount Logan to honour the memory of former prime minister Pierre Trudeau.
Although there may be numerous unnamed peaks in Canada to which his name may be given instead, I think Prime Minister Jean Chretien would satisfy most Canadians by re-naming Kokanee Peak, which overlooks the mountain lake in British Columbia where the body of Trudeau’s son Michel still lies, as a more fitting national tribute and memorial.
