Gammon takes bulk sample

With results in hand from a bulk-sampling program, Gammon Lake Resources (GAML-C) is gearing up for a 1,000-metre drilling program at its Brenda mine property in Mexico’s Chihuahua state.

Earlier this year, a 571.9-ton bulk sample was extracted from the property, situated in the Ocampo gold-silver mining district. The head grade was 6.4 grams gold and 204 grams silver per tonne, based on fire assays from an on-site lab.

The material was extracted from a 2-to-6-metre-wide zone on the 42-metre level of the past producer, then delivered to the flotation mill to obtain an average grade. The concentrate was then shipped to an arm’s-length smelter.

Gammon Lake notes that, based on preliminary tests, cyanide leaching may recover more gold and silver than the current flotation method.
