The average yield on mining stocks was down 0.12% at 1.87% on the Toronto Stock Exchange, as compiled by Moss, Lawson and Co., on prices of Sept 5. Last month this group yielded 1.97%, while one year ago the yield was 5.02%. The average yield, meanwhile, on common stocks is down 0.03% at 3.01% and compares with 3.24% last month and 3.32% one year ago.
