Namex drills sulphides at Woods Creek (January 27, 2003)

Two holes drilled by Namex Exploration (NME-V) have confirmed the extension of sulphide mineralization beneath the Woods Creek showing in northern Ontario.

The showing, which yielded 1.22% copper, 0.95% nickel and anomalous platinum and palladium from grab samples, sits in the Nipissing diabase, where it outcrops 50 km west of Sudbury. A coincident geophysical anomaly suggests the mineralization may strike for 150 metres in length and widen to as much as 20 metres.

Hole WCB returned 7 metres of mineralized sill carrying up to 1.09% nickel and 0.37% copper, plus minor platinum and palladium. The second hole, which was drilled from the same collar but at a steeper angle, assayed upwards of 0.16% nickel and 0.19% copper, plus anomalous platinum, palladium and gold over 4.3 metres of altered diabase.
