In view of the improved market for copper, preparations are being hastened for the resumption of operations at the Granby Consolidated M.S. & P. Co.’s Copper Mountain mine and 2,500-ton concentrator at Allenby, in the Similkameen district of B.C. The operation was stopped in 1930 when the price of copper fell to low levels and it was stated by officials that consideration would not be given to its re-opening until the price again exceeded 10 cents per lb.
