Geomaque uncovers two parallel zones

Two parallel gold-bearing zones have been discovered at the Bourlamaque Twp. property near Val d’Or, Que., being explored by Geomaque Explorations.

President A. Leith Hellens reports hole No 3 intersected 1.2 oz gold per ton over 0.7 ft. The mineralization is coincident with an induced polarization anomaly traced on the property for 6,500 ft, Mr Hellens says. The mineralized horizon, which occurs in a parallel structure to the Cadillac break, has not previously been drill tested.

Hole No 13 cut 0.1 oz over 7.3 ft, including 0.18 oz over 3 ft. Hole No 14, located 1,600 ft along strike and to the west of hole No 13, intersected 0.26 oz over 5.1 ft.

Mr Hellens says a number of geophysical, geochemical and geological anomalies remain to be tested.

In other news, Geomaque reports geophysical surveys and geological mapping have commenced on the 60-claim Pershing-Haig Twps. property located 64 km northeast of Val d’Or. Reverse circulation drilling will follow.
