United Reef Petroleums is encouraged by underground sampling results from the company’s Alder Gulch gold property in Montana. Sampling of the Atlas vein returned an assay of 0.27 oz gold per ton across a width of 24 ft. Examination of old workings suggest the vein strikes for 2,000 ft.
Sampling of the Apex and Bartlett properties is also in progress. The Bartlett vein reaches widths of 40 ft, United reports. On the Apex ground, another vein has been mapped for 610 ft and averages 0.176 oz across a 20-ft width.
At the Baird Twp., Ont., property near Red Lake, a drilling program is under way. Initial results include 4 ft grading 0.18 oz, 4 ft grading 0.14 oz and a 13.5-ft section assaying 0.121 oz.
A second drill rig is being moved to the property to assist in the program. The claims are held under option from affiliate company Canhorn Mining Corp.
