Coin Lake Mines has changed its name to United Coin Lake Gold Mines (UCM:TSE) on a 1-new- for-2-old-share basis. Transfer agent is Central Guaranty Trust Company.


Phillip Resources has changed its name to Austin Mines (AIM: VSE) on a 1-new-for-3.5-old-share basis. Transfer agent is Central Guaranty Trust Company.


BGR Precious Metals (BPT.A: TSE) has declared a regular quarterly dividend of 25 cents per common and class A share, payable Jan. 26 to shareholders of record Jan. 19.


Asarco (NYSE) recently completed the sale of its coal-mining business based near Peoria, Ill., to MidState Coal, a company owned by former management employees. The coal unit was sold for about US$3 million in notes and lease payments and the assumption of certain liabilities.


Canadian Pawnee Oil Corp. has changed its name to Britannia Gold Corp. (BGP:VSE) on a 1-new-for- 10-old-share basis. Transfer agent is National Trust.


The 1989 annual meeting of the Chamber of Mineral Resources of Nova Scotia (CMRNS) will be held Jan. 30 at the Baronet Room, Chateau Halifax, Halifax, N.S. The theme of the talks will be “Technology needs for the ’90s: a Nova Scotia wish list.” Contact CMRNS at (902) 422-5806.
