Colombia guerrillas attack gold mine

A small gold mine in northern Colombia, recently destroyed by guerrillas, is owned by Americans, and not Canadians as has been reported. Jim Anthony, chairman of Greenstone Resources (TSE) which has property in the central portion of the country, said ownership of the mine rests with a U.S. private investment partnership. The Starson company was identified as being the owner. One of the seven workers kidnapped in the raid was reported to have been killed by the rebels.
