Weak results from Shining Tree play

A phase-three, 2-hole drilling program on Fort Knox Gold Resources’ (TSE) Fawcett Twp. property near Shining Tree, Ont., has returned weak copper-nickel mineralization from the south grid.

Hole SG-12 failed to intersect the main nickel-copper zone but did intersect 65.7 ft. grading up to 0.12% copper and trace nickel at a depth of 475 ft. A subsequent down-the-hole survey detected the main zone at the 1,310-ft. level about 65 ft. north of the borehole.

Hole SG-13, the deepest mineralized intersection to date, returned four main zones of weakly mineralized breccia within a 258-ft. interval at the 1,975-ft. level.

Meanwhile, conductors identified southeast of the north grid have been attributed to overburden effects by a recently completed induced polarization survey.
