NEWS ROUNDUP — Trillion launches Zimbabwe program

A 10,000-metre drill program is under way on the 50% owned Jena Mines property in Zimbabwe, reports Trillion Resources (ASE).

Using two rigs, Trillion is testing the Lioness zone, about one kilometre south of the main Stump North zone, where previous drilling returned values of up to 9.47 grams per tonne over 9.3 metres.

Meanwhile, assays from an earlier drill program designed to delineate the Stump North zone are beginning to trickle in. The results, including 64 metres grading 4.1 grams in hole T-92-1 and 29.4 metres grading 7.02 grams in hole T-92-4, suggest the mineralized structure extends for at least another 230 metres.

Reserves at Stump North currently stand at 735,000 tonnes grading 6.2 grams. Ore is being milled at a rate of 250 tonnes per day using underground reserves and old mine tailings.
