Six new massive sulphide prospects were acquired by Ecstall Mining (VSE) in the northern Kechika Trough of northeastern British Columbia.
All six “sedex” massive sulphide properties are underlain by the favorable Gunsteel Formation exhalites and contain large, high-concentration lead-zinc soil geochem anomalies, some associated with bedded barite.
The 5,800-acre land package has not been tested by drilling, but is near the Driftpile Creek deposit, where Teck (TSE) plans a 1993 drill program to follow up previous drilling reported to have returned 10 metres grading 12% combined lead-zinc.
Ecstall also has a 100% interest in 15,800 acres south of Curragh Inc.’s Stronsay deposits. These claims were previously optioned to Minnova (TSE), which plans a $500,000 drill program for 1993.
