Drilling is under way at the Kitimat project near the town of the same name in northwestern British Columbia.
American Bullion Minerals (VSE) outlined three priority targets during a surface program this year.
At least 17 holes are planned, including six on the Bowbyes zone, eight on the Jeannette and three on the Iron Man.
More than 20 occurrences of high-grade copper were exposed along 800 metres of strike on the Bowbyes zone. The zone covers both magnetic and copper in soil anomalies, with trenching returning values of up to 12.9% copper over 2.1 metres.
The Jeannette zone consists of gold-copper mineralization within silicified volcanic rocks. The zone is exposed over a length of about 150 metres and averages about 60 metres in width, while a copper-in-soil anomaly extends the zone to a length of 1,400 metres.
Sampling from trenching and one prior drill hole returned an average grade of 2.2% copper and 2.75 grams gold per tonne over 7.5 metres.
Drilling on the Iron Man zone will test a magnetic anomaly in an area of extensive overburden.
