Inco’s `friendly’ tips

Inco has mailed to each of its 10,500 Canadian employees copies of an 84-page booklet that contains hundreds of tips on environmentally friendly habits. What We Can Do for Our Environment, printed on recycled paper, was produced by Environment Canada and paid for by Inco.

The book recommends, for example: “Use buses or public transit as often as possible. It saves energy and is less stressful than driving yourself.” It also advises burning “well-seasoned wood that has been dried for at least six months” in furnaces.
