Eastern Stone receives OMIP grant

A wholly owned subsidiary of Eastern Stone Products (ASE), Belmont Rose Granite, will receive a maximum grant of $66,150 under the Ontario Mineral Incentive Program (OMIP). The subsidiary has also received a provincial grant for job creation and training at its granite quarry near Havelock, Ont.

Meanwhile, management is applying to the Eastern Ontario Development Corporation and the Federal Business Development Corporation for additional grants and/or loans.

In 1993, the company began gearing sales toward major North American manufacturers of monuments.
