Livingstone resigns from MABC

The president and CEO of the Mining Association of British Columbia (MABC), Gary Livingston, has stepped down to assume the same posts with Western Canadian Coal.

Livingstone once served as president of Westar Mining and held the same title at Alberta-based Luscar and Kentucky-based Andalex Resources. He was with the MABC since 1993.

The MABC’s director of public affairs, Brian Battison, will serve as interim president and CEO until a replacement is found.

“Mr. Livingston has served us exceedingly well for twelve years and won’t be easy to replace,” says MABC Chairman Terry Lyons.
