Met tests add up for Calcatreu

Results from metallurgical tests indicate high recovery rates at Aquiline Resources‘ (AQI-V) Calcatreu gold-silver project in Argentina’s Rio Negro province.

Preliminary laboratory-scale tests by SGS Lakefield Research in Chile indicate free-milling high-grade gold and silver ores with samples yielding “high gold and silver recoveries.”

Combined gravity concentration plus cyanidation returned gold recovery rates ranging from 77% to 98%. Tests indicate that gravity separation will likely be used to process ore.

The SGS study recommends further tests aimed at obtaining design information and assessing the variability of the metallurgical response throughout the deposit.

The recent metallurgical test results will be incorporated into a scoping study, now being prepared by Micon International. The study is due by the end of May, following a revised resource calculation.

Meanwhile, two drill rigs are turning at Calcatreu.
