Alta discovers more gold at Kinsley mine in Nevada

Not only has drilling confirmed the existence of more gold at the Kinsley mine of Alta Gold (NASDAQ); the new mineralized system may represent the most significant gold find in eastern Nevada in recent years.

In addition to the Robinson Gulch discovery, Alta identified two deposits within the Kinsley gold system. The Deep Main and Breitrick deposits have potential to boost known reserves at the mine. Through continued drilling, reserves in the West Ridge, Access and Lower Main deposits have been expanded and confirmed.

“Initial drilling results and soil samples from Robinson Gulch indicate mineral deposits similar to those at Kinsley,” says Alta Gold President Robert Pratt.

The discovery was made by drilling a strong soil anomaly adjacent to the mine. Ore grade mineralization, averaging 0.031 oz. gold per ton, was encountered in the first five holes in jasperoids and altered shales.

Preliminary results indicate the Robinson Gulch system is in a geological setting similar to the Kinsley system.

Highlights from the latest round of drilling, including the Robinson discovery and other targets, are shown below.
