B.C. gov’t approves prospectors’ grants

In British Columbia, 68 prospectors have qualified for grants under the province’s Prospectors’ Assistance Program.

With a budget of $500,000, the program provides recipients with up to $10,000 per year for exploration work throughout the province. The grants ranged from $8,800 to $4,370.

Exploration projects covered in the grants include precious and base metals, industrial minerals and gem stones.
