Goldfields reserves to be re-audited

Convinced that its Goldfields project deserves another turn at the plate, Greater Lenora Resources (GEN-T) has retained Behre Dolbear to re-assess drill data for the Box and Athona gold deposits on the northern shore of Lake Athabasca, Sask.

The consulting firm’s May 1996 audit of a feasibility study on the project raised concerns that previous reserve calculations had overestimated the two deposits’ minable reserves. Behre Dolbear recommended a narrower drill hole spacing.

The review will include a site visit and recalculation of reserves, including some underground results that were not part of the earlier review. The report is expected to be ready by the end of July. At that point, Lenora will decide its next course of action.
