DIAMOND PAGE — KWG, Spider release Kyle Lake results

Partners KWG Resources (KWG-T) and Spider Resources (SPQ-A) have released results from five of 11 holes drilled last winter at the Kyle Lake project in northern Ontario.

The five holes, drilled as part of a mini-bulk test sample, represent 3.6 tonnes of kimberlite. This material has yielded 2,209 diamonds, including 329 that are between 0.5 and 0.8 mm in diameter and 47 stones that are larger than 0.8 mm.

The total amount of kimberlite processed from the intrusion at Kyle Lake now stands at 5.5 tonnes, while the total number of diamonds found is 2,953, including 71 commercial stones. The holes drilled to date show that the majority of the diamonds come from certain high-grade zones within the kimberlite, and KWG and Spider expect the balance of the results from the mini-bulk sample

will establish the extent of the zoning.

Samples have been selected over roughly 6-metre intervals down the hole. They were individually processed for their entire diamond content using caustic dissolution in some cases, and gentle attrition milling followed by gravity separation in others.

Summer exploration will include regional indicator mineral and geochemical sample collection estimated to cost $500,000, followed by a $1-million drill program in the fall and winter.
