Drill results help Teuton and Minvita prove up Clone project

Partners Teuton Resources (TUO-V) and Minvita Enterprises (MVE-V) report encouraging drill results from the Clone property in northwestern British Columbia.

The joint venture completed 49 diamond drill holes on gold- and cobalt-bearing shear structures.

Drilling traced the hematite-rich H-1 structure over a strike length of 1,080 ft. and a vertical range of 774 ft. On the southeastern end, a second phase of closely spaced drilling was carried out on a 300-ft. portion of the zone.

A total of 28 holes, comprising holes 68 to 95, were drilled from five setups.

The holes intersected grades ranging from 0.083 to 1.29 oz. gold per ton over drill intercepts of 2.2 to 50.9 metres (estimated true width: 36 ft.). Cobalt values were as high as 0.13%. Seven of the holes returned no significant intervals of mineralization.

Drilling and mapping determined that both the H and S (sulphide-rich) structures vary in thickness downdip and along strike.

The northern extensions of the H-1 and S-2A were tested by holes 56 to 67.

For the most part, two holes were drilled from each setup on 164-ft.

spacings. Results ranged from 13.5 ft. grading 0.033 oz. gold and 0.06% cobalt in hole 66 to 1.6 ft. of 0.89 oz. gold in hole 65. Two of the holes encountered no significant mineralization.

The H-1 structure remains open along strike in both directions and downdip.

A further two holes, 47 and 48, tested a zone of magnetite mineralization outcropping at the southeastern end of the shear zone, and an additional seven shallow holes, 49 to 55, tested the newly discovered H-3 shear zone, also at the southeastern end.

The holes intersected only anomalous and low-grade values.

Once all assay results from the entire 1996 program have been received, the partners will calculate a preliminary resource for the H-1 zone.
