Production levels rise for most base metals

Canadian production of all nonferrous metals except zinc rose in September 1996 above levels recorded in the same period last year.

Production of salt was also higher than the level recorded one year ago, though asbestos and potash output was lower.

The statistics shown below were compiled by Natural Resources Canada and are included in the September 1996 issue of Production of Canada’s Leading Minerals.
