A 2,000-Metre program of diamond drilling is under way at the Adumasa property in Ghana, a joint venture of Norcan Resources (NRE-V) and AMI Resources (AMU-V).
The work will follow up on three prominent gold geochemical anomalies identified in 1996: Beposo, Konongo Extension and Pernanase East.
Drilling will first test the Beposo anomaly, which measures more than 1,600 metres long and up to 1,000 metres wide. The structure trends in a northeasterly direction along the axis of the major regional shear zone extending from the Obuasi area through the property, continuing northeast through the Konongo gold district.
AMI is earning an initial half interest in Adumasa from Norcan and is also funding the exploration program, which is jointly operated by both companies.
