THE DIAMOND PAGE — Namco is granted new mining licence

The government of Namibia has granted Namibian Minerals (NMR-T) a diamond mining licence for the Koichab prospect, which forms part of the company’s Luderitz Bay grant.

The offshore mining company, also known as Namco, completed a feasibility study and environmental reports before applying for the mining licence. Prior to this, it carried out an exploration program that established a resource of 2.4 million carats of gem-quality diamonds in the Koichab area.
