Abacus Minerals (AMC-V) has calculated a drill-indicated resource for the Lookout zone of its Niblack volcanogenic massive sulphide project in southeastern Alaska.
The resource stands at 1.8 million tons grading 0.117 oz. gold and 1.37 oz.
silver per ton, plus 1.5% copper and 2.64% zinc. The gold-rich mineralization remains open along strike and downdip.
The most westerly hole intersected 115.9 ft. of mineralization, including 24.5 ft. grading 0.129 oz. gold, 0.66 oz. silver, 1.53% copper and 2.66% zinc.
Mineralization is open both updip and downdip, as well as to the west, where favorable felsic volcanic stratigraphy exists for some 2,000 ft.
Much of the current strike of the zone is also open to depth below earlier drill holes, including hole 108, which graded 0.098 oz. gold, 1.56 oz.
silver, 4.7% copper and 3.22% zinc over 165 ft.
Begining in April, diamond drilling will attempt to expand the known resource at Lookout.
