Rouyn-Noranda, Que.-based Radisson Mining Resources (RDS-M) has reported the latest results from its ongoing drill program at the O’Brien gold project in northwestern Quebec’s Cadillac Twp. Several of the holes cut two or three distinct veins, and most of the mineralization was found at depths of 200 to 700 ft.
Results include:
* 0.18 oz. gold per ton over 7 ft., 0.97 oz. over 1.3 ft., and 0.14 oz. over 0.9 ft. in hole OB97-94;
* 0.23 oz. gold over 8.8 ft., 0.15 oz. over 3 ft., 0.09 oz. over 8 ft., and 0.04 oz. over 6.3 ft. in hole OB97-95;
* 0.18 oz. gold over 3 ft., 0.02 oz. over 20.4 ft., and 0.04 oz. over 10 ft.
in hole OB97-97;
* 0.13 oz. gold over 8.7 ft. and 0.03 oz. over 5.7 ft. in hole OB97-98; * 0.14 oz. gold over 2.7 ft. and 0.64 oz. over 0.8 ft. in hole OB-97-99; * 0.15 oz. gold over 1.6 ft., 0.13 oz. over 9.1 ft., and 0.05 oz. over 7.2 ft. in hole OB97-100;
* 0.22 oz. gold over 2 ft., 0.12 oz. over 8.1 ft., 0.1 oz. over 6 ft., and 3.66 oz. over 10 ft. in hole OB97-101;
* 1.09 oz. gold over 9.5, 0.09 oz. over 8.3 ft., and 0.11 oz. over 6 ft. in hole 97-102; and
* 0.27 oz. gold over 2.2 ft., 0.08 oz. over 7.7 ft., and 0.1 oz. over 8.2 ft. in hole OB97-103.
Radisson characterizes these latest assays as similar to earlier drill results from O’Brien. The company has $1 million in exploration funds for the remainder of 1998. These funds have been earmarked for further drilling at O’Brien, surface drilling at several of Radisson’s other 11 properties in northwestern Quebec and for metallurgical tests.
