Insider trading transactions recently reported by the Ontario Securities Commission in its OSC Bulletin include the following:

  • AfriOre (AFO-V) — Harvey White, director, sold 20,500 shares at 52-69 cents and bought 20,000 shares at 60-66 cents to hold 432,263 shares.
  • Agnico-Eagle Mines (AGE-T) — Sean Boyd, director, bought 10,700 shares at $7.20-8.15 to hold 41,033 shares; James Nasso, director, bought 1,800 shares at $8.20 to hold 12,841 shares; and Ebe Scherkus, officer, bought 7,600 shares at $7-8.25 to hold 24,863 shares.
  • Barrick Gold (ABX-T) — Angus MacNaughton, director, exercised 35,000 options at 14.25, plus 70,000 options at an unspecified price, and sold 55,000 shares at US$20.62-23.12 to hold zero options, 50,000 shares directly and 10,000 shares indirectly.
  • Comaplex Minerals (CMF-T) — George Fink, director, exercised 360,000 options at 60 cents to hold zero options, 394,000 shares directly and 78,000 shares indirectly; and Garth Schultz, officer, exercised 75,000 options at 43 cents to hold zero options and 75,000 shares.
  • Manhattan Minerals (MAN-T) — Brian Lock, director, sold 6,300 shares directly at $2.20-2.25 and another 7,600 shares indirectly at $2.20-2.30 to hold 41,300 shares directly and 35,800 shares indirectly; and Robert Willis, director, sold 6,500 shares at $2.20-2.30 to hold 635,800 shares directly and 66,000 shares indirectly.
  • Pacific Rim Mining (PFG-T) — Kathryn Church, officer, was granted 18,000 options at 88 cents to hold 108,000; David De Witt, director, was granted 60,000 options at 88 cents to hold 60,000; David Ernst, officer, was granted 15,000 options at 88 cents to hold 140,000; William Gehlen, officer, was granted 15,000 options at 88 cents to hold 140,000 options; Catherine McLeod-Seltzer, director, was granted 200,000 options at 88 cents to hold 560,000; William Myckatyn, director, was granted 60,000 options at 88 cents to hold 210,000; Anthony Petrina, director, was granted 60,000 options at 88 cents to hold 210,000; and Thomas Shrake, director, was granted 200,000 options at 88 cents to hold 500,000.
