State unveils map of Duluth complex

The Minnesota Geological Survey has released a preliminary map of the Duluth complex in the state’s northeastern region.

The map, which is based on old and new geological data collected over 40 years, can be viewed at the website http://160.94.61.144/mgs/released documents.

The final map, in both digital and paper form, will be released later this summer.

Partial funding for the project was provided by the Minnesota Dept. of Natural Resources.
