David Brown, chairman of the Ontario Securities Commission, will be among the speakers at a 3-hour session on securities regulations at the annual convention of the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada, to be held in Toronto.
The session is free and will take place at 9 a.m. March 11 in Room 201D in the North Building at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
Other speakers include Robert Fabes, vice-president of advisory affairs with the Toronto Stock Exchange, Douglas Hyndman, chairman of the British Columbia Securities Commission, and Harold Mackay, an economist with the federal Department of Finance.
The session will be moderated by Andrew Willis, investment columnist for the The Globe & Mail.
Topics for discussion include the Canadian Securities Administrators Uniform Securities Law project, an attempt to unify the country’s securities regulations.

Donald Robinson, president and CEO of Eastmain Resources, will discuss the Eau Claire gold deposit in northwestern Quebec at a meeting of the Toronto Geological Discussion Group, slated for March 25 at the Ontario Club.
Robinson will also outline Estmain’s exploration plans.
