Drilling planned by Int’l Damascus near Smithers B.C.

A major program of diamond drilling is being designed to test “many promising target areas” on International Damascus Resources’ precious metals Ox project near Smithers, B.C., reports consulting geologist J. Paul Sorbara.

Mr Sorbara says three new IP anomalies were located on the Ox-East claim block during the summer program. More than 1,200 additional acres were staked to cover the extension of one anomaly on to open ground.

Sampling results are awaited from a gold and silver vein that was exposed by blasting on the Ox-C claim block. Known as the K-Vein, the zone has a current 150-m strike length from which earlier sampling returned gold values.

The K-Vein runs parallel to the Damascus zone which has been traced for 500 m in length. Mr Sorbara says mineralization up to 3.5 m in width has been assayed with an average grade of 10-12 oz silver per ton.
