Norben drilling on Pan Empire extends structure

Norben Gold Resources, a private company 50% owned by Ateba Mines, h as intersected some good values on its Pan Empire project near Beardmore, Ont. Results from the first 2,225-m of drilling in the ongoing program include the following:

The drilling program was designed to test the strike extensions of the Empire or Power vein structure which produced about 425,866 tons of ore grading 0.33 oz gold per ton during the late 1930s.

The drilling began 700 m east of the Empire shaft, about 25 m from the easternmost underground workings. Hole 86-1 intersected the structure 84 m downhole at the 120-m level and yielded the best intersection.

Drilling is continuing on the property to further test the strike and down dip extension of the structure.
